The article “Downing North Korean Missiles Is Hard So the U.S. Is Experimenting” is something people in the world should be concerned about. The world need to know that North Korea may be planning an attack soon. They are slowly building up their nuclear weapons gaining military power. I think it is great that the Trump administration is expanding their strategy to deal with these nuclear missiles but, this isn’t enough.
The problem about these strategies is that it is not 100% to succeed. One miscalculation or error can cause the death of many Americans. These strategies that are planned by the United states to counter North Korea’s attacks are quite interesting. Using Fighter Jets, drones and interceptor rocket to destroy the missile before the launch or during the boost phase is a good idea but, is it always likely to succeed? President Trump has praised the existing missile defense system, insisting last month that it “can knock out a missile in the air 97 percent of the time” (1). It is said to be successful 97% of the time but what about the 3%, instead of just defending against the missiles. We should get together and try to bring down Kim Jung Un before his dictatorship starts to spread and overpower other countries.
