After watching Ted Talk show on “How Simple Ideas Lead to
Scientific Discoveries” by Adam Savage. I started to understand why Adam Savage
is criticizing scientist today. Adam savage criticizes scientists for using
technology to find the discoveries for them because these technologies cost
billions of dollars. He claims that scientist in this day relies too much on
technology to discover new things, he states how people in the past only used
their eyes, ears, and their minds.
I
agree that long ago famous scientists made discoveries without any technology
that cost a fortune. Scientists back in the day started with a simple question
or idea that gave them the determination to expand their knowledge even further
to figure out the answer. Adam Savage also claims, “science is an open field”.
I believe this is true because there are many fields of studies in science and
each field of study differ from one another by a significant amount. I believe
the thing that separates a good scientist from a bad scientist is that a good
scientist must always be curious and must have questions.
