“Climate change causes: A blanket around the Earth.” NASA, NASA, 10 Aug. 2017,             climate.nasa.gov/causes/.
This source talks about each of the greenhouse gases each gas is linked to global warming. It mentions how carbon dioxide is one of the major key factor of global warming and how carbon dioxide causes global warming. Not only does this source have information about carbon dioxide but the rest of the greenhouses gases out there. It also explains how each greenhouse gas affects our atmosphere. Another thing is how it explains the role of water vapor and how it is important to our environment.
This source is relevant to my research because each of these greenhouse gases play a role to climate changes. The source is objective because there are no signs of any personal opinion against this matter, it only states facts about each greenhouse gas and how it is affecting the environment. The purpose of this source is to spread important knowledge that are discovered by scientists working for NASA. NASA known as The National Aeronautics and Space Administration is a U.S government agency responsible for the aeronautics and aerospace research.
Schlossberg, Tatiana. “Feeling a Chill? Blame the Polar Vortex. And Global Warming.” The       New York Times, The New York Times, 15 Dec. 2016,             www.nytimes.com/2016/12/15/science/feeling-a-chill-blame-the-polar-vortex-and-   global-warming.html.
This source talks about how global warming doesn’t only make our weather hotter but also our winter colder. It starts by mentioning the polar vortex nicknamed polar jet streams which are caused by low pressure that circles around both the north and south poles. It explains how the change in pressure can change or disturb the swirling of the polar vortex and cause it to move down towards places in the United States etc. The polar vortex would be pressured and swirl down causing colder temperatures that we wouldn’t normally experience during the winter.
This source is relevant because it explains how global warming doesn’t only cause temperatures to be higher, but it can also cause our winter to be colder. The source is in an objective stance it gives us facts on how the polar vortex could be shifted in different directions due to the pressure. It also explains what a polar vortex is and provides a bit of background information on it. It also explains the differences between weather and climate.
“The National Academies presents: What You Need to Know About Energy.” Fossil Fuels —      , needtoknow.nas.edu/energy/energy-sources/fossil-fuels/.
This source talks about fossil fuels and how each type of fossil fuel used can emit a greenhouse gas. The fossil fuels mentioned are coal, oil, and natural gas. These 3 gases pollute the air by emission of carbon dioxide or the other greenhouse gases. Fossil fuel are products we have been relying on for the decades. It is said that 81% of the united states uses fossil fuels as their main source of energy. The reliance of fossil fuel is an obvious reason, due to the abundance supply. This causing lower and affordable prices for consumers.
This source is relevant to my research because of the information it provides me about each fossil fuel. It provides me information on the percentage of fossil fuel that has been used as the main source of energy from 2015. Which is relatively recent, it also explains the reason of why fossil fuels are being used over other methods such as solar panels, etc. It also provides information about how each of these fossil fuels are limited, while we may have an abundant supply of coal, oil, etc. At some point we will be forced to find another source of energy for electricity, etc.
“Sources of Greenhouse Gas Emissions.” EPA, Environmental Protection Agency, 14 Apr.          2017, www.epa.gov/ghgemissions/sources-greenhouse-gas-emissions.
This source is talks about the total emission of greenhouse gases emitted in the U.S in 2015. In 2015 about 6587 metric ton of carbon dioxide was emitted due to 27% used on transportation, 21% used on industries, 29 % used on electricity, 12% on commercial and residential, 9% on agriculture. It talks about ways to reduce the usage of greenhouse gases from each of the categories above. It also talks about how each category emits different types of greenhouse gases.
This is relevant to my research because the source tells me where the greenhouse gases are coming from, what is being used to cause the up rise of greenhouse gases, and what is the purpose of using these products that will harm the environment. It also gives us solutions or ways to reduce the emission of these greenhouse gases. The aim of this source is to provide information to others on ways to reduce the levels of greenhouse gases.
